Very closeup of a brown eye

The cornea or outer layer of the eye is the clear, dome-shaped surface that helps focus light through the clear lens and onto the retina. This area of the eye plays a key role in vision. If the cornea becomes diseased, sight may become distorted or in severe cases, may cause vision loss. Keratoconus, Sjogren’s Syndrome, Fuch’s Dystrophy, and Dry Eye Syndrome are examples of diseases that affect the cornea.

John Swan, M.D. and In Shin, M.D. are both board-certified, fellowship-trained corneal specialists. If you are experiencing a corneal issue or may be considering LASIK, our highly-skilled, experienced surgeons provide consistently excellent outcomes.
