Refractive Surgery Coordinator
If you are outgoing, enthusiastic, and looking for an exciting opportunity in the medical field, look no further! Montgomery Eye Physicians seeks a refractive surgery coordinator to operate as a key interface between current and potential refractive surgical patients.
The Refractive Surgery Coordinator will work in tandem with our team to provide telephone screenings and one-on-one assistance to prospective patients inquiring about refractive surgical procedures such as LASIK surgery, lens exchange surgery, or cataract surgery with premium lens options. Additionally, this position is responsible for assessing patient needs, financial counseling, lead tracking, reporting, statistics, and follow up. This position will have significant marketing interaction with referring doctors and their offices.
The ideal candidate will present themselves professionally, have excellent verbal and written communication skills, be proficient in MS Office Suite and have a proven track record of excellent customer service. Sales background beneficial. College degree preferred. This is a full-time position (40 hours per week), supervised by the Sturbridge Office Manager.

This position serves as the first line of communication with our patients as a phone operator in our busy call center. The position requires the ability to efficiently answer a high volume of calls, schedule patient appointments, document messages and process other calls appropriately. Accuracy of data entry is critical to this position as well as an outgoing personality with superior interpersonal skills and organization. The position may also initiate outbound calls to schedule patient appointments, make schedule changes and reply to questions.
Applicants should be articulate and able to communicate effectively with supervisor, physicians and staff. Previous medical office and computer entry experience is beneficial. GE Centricity Practice Management system experience is a plus. Applicant must possess high school diploma or equivalent and be able to use Microsoft Office products such as Word and Outlook.
