Phone Receptionist/Appointment Scheduler

This position serves as the first line of communication with our patients as a phone operator in our busy call center. The position requires the ability to efficiently answer a high volume of calls, schedule patient appointments, document messages and process other calls appropriately. Accuracy of data entry is critical to this position as well as an outgoing personality with superior interpersonal skills and organization. The position may also initiate outbound calls to schedule patient appointments, make schedule changes and reply to questions.

Applicants should be articulate and able to communicate effectively with supervisor, physicians and staff. Previous medical office and computer entry experience is beneficial. GE Centricity Practice Management system experience is a plus. Applicant must possess high school diploma or equivalent and be able to use Microsoft Office products such as Word and Outlook.

Clinical Supervisor - Ophthalmology/Optometry

Montgomery Eye Physicians has an excellent opportunity for an experienced, hands-on, clinical supervisor for our primary location. This office offers ophthalmology specialty care service, primary care optometry service, medical clinic, minor surgical procedures, and diagnostic procedures.

The clinical supervisor will be responsible for day by day supervision of 15-20 technical employees including COTs, COAs and technicians in training for certification. Position will also be responsible for daily clinical operations including but not limited to the following: patient flow, quality of care, chart compliance and auditing, scheduling, hiring, training, reviews for technical personnel, as well as equipment selection and maintenance.

This position also works as the practice OSHA Compliance Officer and is responsible for initial education and ongoing personnel training of OSHA policies and procedures.

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • COT or COMT (preferred) with minimum 5 years clinical experience;
  • Minimum 3 years of comparable supervisory experience,
  • Excellent clinical skills coupled with the ability train technical staff;
  • Strong knowledge of proper medical chart documentation and coding;
  • Strong knowledge of diagnostic ophthalmic/optometric equipment;
  • Practice management software experience including appointment scheduling, insurance verification, and general resource management;
  • Exceptional interpersonal communication, and presentation skills - including the ability to interact and communicate effectively with physicians and staff.
  • Excellent computer skills including thorough knowledge of MS Office Suite;

Ophthalmic/Optometric Technician

Montgomery Eye Physicians seeks a certified ophthalmic/optometric technician to assess patients and assist doctors in all areas of clinic. This is a full-time position (36 hours).

Job Qualifications:

Superior communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills required. Applicant should have some understanding of insurance codes. Accuracy is essential to this position. Applicant must be detail oriented.

Minimum Qualifications:

High school diploma.
